After closing the deal with Danjuma, until today a Villarreal player, Tottenham scheduled a new meeting for tomorrow, Wednesday, with the aim of closing the signing of Pedro Porro from Dombeni. This is stated by the renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, who indicates that the last proposal of 37 million euros was not enough for Sporting de Portugal, with whom Pedro Porro claimed a few days ago by adding a goal and an assist.
At Tottenham they are analyzing all the possibilities before undertaking the operation; Even, Romano points out, they hope to be able to convince Sporting to use accessories or players in the deal. “Payment conditions will also be crucial,” he says on his social networks.
45 million clause
Pedro Porro was on Luis Enrique’s pre-list for the World Cup in Qatar. Last May, he signed a renewal with Sporting until 2025. In the club’s statement, it was also reported that he had a clause of 45 million euros. That would be the amount that Tottenham would have to put on the table if they do not want to negotiate with the Portuguese club.
Pedro Porro signed for Girona as a youth, from Rayo Vallecano. He did so as a forward, but soon began to occupy the right wing, where he stood out in LaLiga, being one of the revelations of the championship. Signed by Manchester City for 10 million euros, he played on loan at Valladolid, where things did not go well for him.
The next loan was to Sporting, where from the first day he fit in perfectly. The Portuguese club exercised its purchase option of 8.5 million euros and retained ownership of the player.
Over the next few weeks, the player’s representatives will sit down with Sporting to analyze the different offers on the table. Porro is delighted in Portugal, where he is very loved, but he does not hide that he would like to continue progressing in his career.
